When you see that the bottom column of the LCD is “DISABLE*”,

LCD bottom column. Then press “ENTER” button to have the
“ENABLE*” displayed. Then, press “ON-LINE” button to end the
menu setting.

If you do not wish to receive print data from the network, set “NET-
WORK” to “DISABLE*” in the above procedure.
4.2.2
Setting TCP/IP
To use this network card in the TCP/IP protocol, TCP/IP must be set to
ENABLE on the printer’s operator panel.
4.2.2.1 TCP/IP Enable/Disable

Confirm that the printer is in the idle state from the LCD panel and
the lamp.

Press “ON-LINE” button to set the printer to OFF-LINE, and hold
the “MENU1” button for 2 seconds or longer, to have “PRINT
MODE” displayed.

Press the “MENU1” button repeatedly, to have the “NETWORK”
displayed, and press the “ENTER” button.

When you see that the bottom column of the LCD of “TCP/IP” is
“ENABLE*”, press “MENU1” button to proceed to set “IP BYTE1”.
If the bottom column of the LCD is “DISABLE*”, press “

” button
or “
s
” button until “ENABLE” is displayed in the LCD bottom col-
umn. Then press the “ENTER” button to have “ENABLE*” dis-
played (* indicates that that value is set.)
4.2.2.2 Setting IP Address

Following the procedure of the sub-section 4.2.2.1, “TCP/IP En-
able/Disable”, press “MENU1” button, to have “IP BYTE1” dis-
played.

Change the address by pressing “
t
” button or “
s
” button. (If you
hold the button for a several seconds, it will expedite the address
updating.) When the value to be set is displayed, press the Enter
key to finalize it.

Press “MENU1” button to move to “IP BYTE2” setting. Set up to
and including “IP BYTE4”, in the similar manner to the “IP BYTE1”.
