Star-shaped (Category 5) Cabling Connection
If your building cabling operates using a star-shaped cabling format, the terminating
resistors in your NovaTec
Mobile Gateway S20 must be deactivated. This deactivation must be
undertaken separately for every port concerned. In order to do this, first determine on which of
the NovaTec
Mobile Gateway S20 modules the one or more terminating resistors must be
deactivated. The following illustration gives an example of how a star-shaped cabling connection
could be applied.
