Limitation of the NovaTec

Mobile Gateway S20

The construction of the system architecture means that there are specific limits to the
capabilities of the NovaTec

Mobile Gateway S20. Exceeding these capabilities may have a

range of consequences. Firstly, the system configuration differentiates between a non-blocking
and a blocking system. With a non-blocking system, all B-channels that are provided for the
use with the modules can be utilised. A maximum of around 60 connections divided between
two PRA interfaces are possible. If the system is equipped with modules providing more than
120 B channels, it is a blocking NovaTec

Mobile Gateway S20. At no point in time can all these

connections be used simultaneously.

The following tables describe the expansion capabilities in detail and must adhered to.

The first table shows the expansion capabilities for a non-blocking NovaTec

Mobile Gateway
