ims (SOS) is the core of the system for using the NMG as Sim-Server. For this case
are one or more SCU’s required.
The SOS supports an Ethernet interface, which can be operated with 10 MBit or 100 Mbit.
All remote support functions e.g. configuration of the system or diagnosis are thus over the
Ethernetinterface and via IP possible. Furthermore the SOS offers two places for plug-on
cards. The places for the plug-on cards are marked on the printed circuit board with
Submodul_1 and Submodul_2
The connections for the Submodul_1 are marked on the front screen with Plug 1 and for the
Submodul_2 with Plug 2 (see for this pin allocation SOS).
In the chapter for CAU is described, how the terminal resistances of the plug-on maps can
be deactivated.
