Configuration of the Clients
All Callback settings are carried out over Profiles, and as always all Profiles are first given a
Profile name.
On the Client you should choose „New Client“ to create a new Client profile.
Under „Outgoing server number“ the telephone number of the Servers should be given.
Here the start and the end of the telephone number range for the outgoing calls to the
server should be entered.
Under „Incoming CLIP“ the Server number that the Client receives for a Call back call
should be entered. The Telephone number range should include the incoming call number
from the server. Normally the values for the outgoing calls and the callback calls should
agree, if this is not the case or not possible due to technical reasons, different values
may be configured.
Under „Protocol“ it would be chosen between Sub-adress, User-To-User or Data Service.
As mentioned earlier Subadressing is the first choice as no extra costs are incurred (at least
not with Deutsche Telecom AG). In some countrys the Subadress will only come through
when the Service data is Signalised (e.g. South Africa). In this case the Protocol „Data
Service“ should be chosen.
If the Data is to be transmitted over IP then the
Server IP settings
should be activated.
Under IP the correct IP Address of the Server should be entered. Port 809 is permanently
preconfigured. Under Local / National dialing code the international dialling code should be
entered e.g. :
Paderborn Germany 00495251
Hamburg Germany 004940
