The SAS riser card includes the LSI MegaRAID
™
SAS PCI EXPRESS
™
ROMB (called "On
Board RAID (MegaRAID ROMB)" hereafter) The On Board RAID (MegaRAID ROMB) supports
the following features:
Dual-channel SAS interface (CH0 and CH1)
Connect the HDD cage to CH0 and CH1.
RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, and 50
512MB of cache memory
Battery-backup cache memory (option)
Network Interface Controllers
NOTE:
To ensure EMC product regulation compliance, the system
must be used with shielded LAN cables.
The base board includes Intel 82563EB Physical Layer Transceiver (PHY), and I/O riser card
includes Intel 82575EB Network Interface Controller (NIC). The both chips support the following
features:
Two channels of 10Base-T, 100Base-TX, and 1000BASE-T networks.
The both chips provide standard IEEE 802.3 Ethernet Interface for 1000Base-T,
100Base-TX, and 10Base-T (802.3, 802.3u, 802.3ab).
