Press Enter to display the user password
input screen. For this password,
accessing to the SETUP menu is
restricted.
This item becomes accessible after the
Supervisor password is registered.
Set Supervisor
Password Up to seven
alphanumeics Press Enter to display the supervisor
password input screen. This password
enables all the SETUP menus to be
accessed. This setting can be done only
on login with the password input of
"Supervisor" at start of SETUP.
Password on boot [Disabled]
Enabled Specify whether the passwords are
entered or not on booting.
This item becomes accessible after the
User password is registered.
Fixed disk boot
sector [Normal]
Write Protect Prevents data from being written to hard
disk drives.
Power Switch
Inhibit [Disabled]
Enabled Specify whether the power switch is
enabled or disabled. If this item is set to
"Enabled," the power cannot be turned off
by using the POWER/SLEEP switch
(including the forced shutdown). The
system cannot also enter the power
saving mode by pressing the SLEEP
switch.
This item becomes accessible after the
User password is registered.
Disable USB Ports [Disabled]
Front
Front+Rear
Specify whether the USB port is enabled
or disabled.
Set to [Front] to disable the USB port at
the front of chassis.
Set to [Front+Rear] to disable all the USB
ports.
NOTE: If [Front+Rear] is specified, the
internal USB port is also disabled. If you
are intend to use an internal USB device,
specify [Disabled] or [Front].
