Ending a Recording
1. In the Device Setup view, select the device for which you would no longer like to record data
in the area Remote Device . If the device has the recording status ON under Logging , data is
recorded from the device.
2. Tap the Logging button.
▸ The device's recording status in the Remote Device area changes to OFF .
▸ The recording is ended. The database symbol in the menu bar disappears if no
further recordings are being made.
▸ You can administer and display the recorded data (see section Recordings on page 62).
Recording data
If the power supply to the PowerView3 is interrupted during recording or the
SD card is removed, data may be lost.
Each time you restart the PowerView3 and each time you insert an SD card,
a new recording file is created in the selected folder.
8.4.1.6 Device Type Generic
You can add up to three devices that are not directly supported by the PowerView3 as Generic
devices and monitor their communication status.
Generic devices are not displayed in the Start Menu
Generic devices appear in the Device Setup view in the Remote Device area.
These devices are not displayed in the Start Menu .
Functions
– When a device of the device type Generic is added in the device setup, it will be started,
providing this has not already been done.
– The communication status is monitored by the PowerView3 and is visualized in the menu bar
(see section
Menu Bar on page 47).
– Changes to the communication status are listed in the Event Log view (see section Event Log
on page 72).
