Draining oil

The vehicle is equipped with a hydraulic telescopic fork with separate adjustment for rebound and

compression damping:

The left stem works in extension while the right one in compression.

the two stanchions work in a different way, their internal components are similar and thus the discharge

and refilling of the oil are performed following the same operations; therefore, the operations described

below are valid for both stems.

CAUTION

DURING

OIL DRAINAGE AND REFILLING OPERATIONS, THE STEM AND ITS INNER PARTS SHOULD BE
LOCKED IN A VICE; BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO DAMAGE THEM BY EXERTING AN EXCESSIVE
FORCE; ALWAYS USE ALUMINIUM JAW CAPS.

Outlet:

•

Remove the stanchion.

•

Tighten the removed stanchion in a

vice fitted with aluminium jaw caps in

order to avoid damaging them.

•

Use an Allen key to unscrew the upper

closing cap. Be careful not to damage

the O-Ring during extraction. Press the

bearing tube inside the wheel holder.

•

Holding the upper cap with the key

used previously, lock the lock nut, us-

ing an Allen key. Completely unscrew

and remove the upper cap from the

shock absorber rod end.
