Recovering a vehicle that is stuck

NOTE Damage due to pulling force being
too high
Pulling away abruptly can damage the vehicles
if the tractive forces are too high.

Pull away as straight, slowly and
smoothly as possible.
If the drive wheels get trapped on loose or muddy
ground, recover the vehicle with the utmost care,
especially so if the vehicle is laden.

If possible, pull the vehicle out backwards
using the tracks it made before it became
stuck.

WARNING Risk of accident due to towing
when the vehicle is switched on
When the vehicle is being towed away and is
switched on with the front axle raised, ASR can
brake the rear axle wheels in an erratic man-
ner.
The vehicle can lose directional stability.
