A 5.1

Default settings

Once a new patient has been selected in the standby mode, the default ventilation

mode including all default parameters is automatically activated. The default set-

tings can be configured as needed (see section 13.1 in the Basic Instructions for

Use – elisa 300 / elisa 500). The automatically activated default ventilation mode

is the first mode on the tab bar.

A narrow coloured bar at the top of the screen identifies the active ventilation

mode.

NIV (non-invasive)

Depending on selected screen colour:

green

blue

IV (invasive)

grey

Backup ventilation

yellow

Resuscitation (or CPR) mode

red

The modes are named in compliance with the ISO stand-

ard 19223:2019-07

You can review the names of the ventilation modes as defined in the ISO stand

ard 19223:2019-07 by using the Help function. Tap the Help icon, then select the

mode of interest. Under “Detailed Description” you will find the name as defined

in the ISO standard 19223:2019-07.
