Kyocera 7135 Smartphone Reference Guide

Chapter 9

Messages

Using Messages, you can receive voice mail and send and receive SMS (Short Message Service)
text messages on your Kyocera 7135 smartphone. The Messages application can hold up to 200
incoming messages, in addition to messages you have saved.

Setting up the Messages application

Voice Mail Note:

Your phone service provider should give you detailed instructions for checking

voice messages. Please read those instructions or contact your service provider if you have trouble
connecting to your voice mail.

Text Message Note:

Text messaging service must be available from your phone service provider

for this feature to work. If it is, they will give you more information about sending and receiving
text messages. Please read that information or contact your phone service provider if you have
trouble using text messaging.

To use Messages, you must first set up a voice mail account with your service provider. Once you
have this account, get the appropriate phone number from your service provider and enter it in
the Phone Preferences screen.
