4.8 Disposal

CAUTION

Disposal

Solder waste is hazardous waste and must not be disposed of together with do-
mestic waste.

a) Provide safe and environmentally friendly disposal of packaging materials!

b) Make sure that all process materials and replacement parts are disposed of in a

safe and environmentally friendly way!

Based on Directive 2008/98/EC on waste, and on Directive 2002/96/EC on waste
electrical and electronic equipment, we recommend proceeding as follows:

Prepare the machine for disposal:

a) Have a specialised technician disconnect the machine from all supply units:

Power supply

Computer network

Only after these operations are concluded is it possible to start the disposal
procedure.

If it is not possible to properly scrap the machine at the user’s premises:

a) Appoint a certified disposal company.
