Disassembly

Remove Ignition Modules

1. Rotate the flywheel so the magnet is away from

the modules.

2. Remove the mounting screws and disconnect the

kill lead from the ignition modules. Note the
position of ignition modules. See Figure 8-26.

c. Remove the rubber valve and spring from the

cup. See Figure 8-24.

2. Remove the screw securing the oil filter adapter

and individual O-Rings to the crankcase, then
carefully separate the parts. See Figure 8-25.

Remove Grass Screen and Cooling Fan

1. Remove the screws, attaching hardware and hex

studs securing the grass screen, stiffeners and
cooling fan to the flywheel. See Figures 8-27, 8-28
