1. Click the CURRENT button on the Calibration Window to start current calibration; the Cur-
rent Calibration Window (Figure 4-3) appears and the status display on the VXI main panel
reads
CMAX .

2. Monitor DVM and click the “+” button to increase and the “–“ to decrease the output current
until the DVM reads as close as possible to maximum rated current (Calculate current as fol-
lows
:
I (Amperes) = DVM reading (Volts) / Shunt Resistance (Ohms).
3. Click the PRESS TO ACCEPT button to accept the value. The status display reads C_0 .
Click the “+” button to increase and the “–“ to decrease the output current until the DVM
reads as close as possible to minimum positive or zero current (Calculate current as follows:
(Amperes) = DVM reading (Volts) / Shunt Resistance (Ohms).
4. Click the PRESS TO ACCEPT button to accept the value. The status display reads CMAX .
Click the “+” button to increase and the “–“ to decrease the output current until the DVM
reads as close as possible to maximum rated current (Calculate current as follows:
I (Amperes) = DVM reading (Volts) / Shunt Resistance (Ohms).
5. Click the Press to ACCEPT button to accept the value; the status display now reads OUTC .
At the ANALOG I/O PORT J2, connect the DVM (M– to pin 13, M+ to pin 7) and the d-c
power source (V– to pin 9, V+ to pin 1); set the d-c source output to 10.00V. Click the “+” but-
ton to increase and the “–“ to decrease the output current until the DVM reads as close as
possible to 10V.
6. Click the PRESS TO ACCEPT button to accept the value. The status display will not change.
Click the ANALOG REF button on the calibration window to proceed to external calibration
(see PAR. 4.4.3).
