REAR PANEL CONNECTORS AND SWITCHES.

Refer to Figure 2-2 and Tables 2-2 through

2-7.

DC AMPERES

display

Four-digit LED display that shows current settings:
a. Shows actual output current (PAR.3.2.9).
b. Shows current set point or overcurrent limit when function selected (PAR. 3.2.9.2).
c. Shows GPIB address (PAR. 3.2.11), baud rate (PAR. 3.2.12).
d. Shows unit password (PAR. 3.2.8 and PAR. 4.3).

CURRENT

control/

momentary switch

Multifunction rotary encoder with momentary-contact pushbutton switch. Rotate to set output current
(PAR. 3.2.9) and overcurrent limit (PAR. 3.2.10). Also used to enter SET mode of current programming
(PAR. 3.2.9.2), change GPIB address (PAR. 3.2.11), change RS 232 baud rate (PAR. 3.2.12), enter
Virtual Model password (PAR. 3.2.8), and enter calibration password and perform calibration (PAR.
4.3).

DC OUTPUT

indicator

Green LED lights when DC output is enabled. LED is off when output is disabled.

DC OUTPUT

on/off switch

Enables or disables the DC Output. When output is disabled, current and voltage are programmed to
minimal value and zero, respectively (PAR. 3.2.5). Also used to accept front panel inputs.

PROTECT

momentary switch

Used to set overvoltage and overcurrent (PAR. 3.2.10) protection limits.
NOTE: Requires a thin tool (e.g., end of paper clip) to press switch.

LAN Indicator

[E-Series models only]

Green LED indicates when LAN interface is installed and valid IP address found. Can be intentionally
blinked using the web-based interface to identify which unit is being accessed in a multi-unit environ-
ment. During initialization the LED blinks rapidly while attempting to locate a valid IP address. If suc-
cessful, LED stays on without blinking; LED not lit indicates failure.

FUNCTION

momentary switch

Used to set user-determined limits on voltage and current (virtual model) (PAR. 3.2.8), view KLP con-
figuration (Firmware Version, Model rating, Options installed) (PAR. 3.2.15), change GPIB address
(PAR. 3.2.11), change RS 232 baud rate (standard models only, PAR. 3.2.12), set up master/slave
operation (standard models only, PAR. 3.2.13), set up LAN interface (E-Series models only, PAR.
3.2.14), and enter the Utility menu (PAR. 3.2.16). The utility menu is used to configure the internal
relay (PAR. 3.2.16.1), configure quick-boot (PAR. 3.2.16.2), configure Remote Inhibit (high or low) and
determine how the unit responds to faults (PAR. 3.2.16.3), calibrate analog inputs (PAR. 3.2.16.4), and
enter calibration (PAR. 4.3). NOTE: Requires a thin tool (e.g., end of paper clip) to press switch.
