Detach the jig nozzle from the L1-head while carefully checking that the head is not moved in
the X-direction.
j
Select the [HEAD] button on the HOD to change the head to the R1-head.
With this operation, the R1-head is moved to the rotation center X of the L1-head
automatically. (Head movement amount = Distance between head centers (119 mm))
k
Attach the jig nozzle to the R1-head and operate the Z-axis with the HOD to set it to the
[DOWN] height.
l
In the same manner as described in step
h
-1), move the head back and forth. A position
where the dial gauge shows the maximum value is determined to the rotation center in the
Y-direction. At this time, if the jig nozzle is not in contact with the dial gauge or if it is in contact
with the dial gauge excessively, loosen four R-head fixing screws and move the head around
the parallel pin at the upper portion of the head to make the adjustment.
11
In the same manner as described in step 2), when the
θ
-axis is operated using the HOD with
the rotation center Y kept to rotate the jig nozzle, a position where the needle on the dial
gauge shows the center of the deflection is determined to the rotation center in the
X-direction. In this status, loosen four fixing screws of the R-head and move the head around
the parallel pin at the upper portion of the head to make the adjustment so that the pointer of
the dial gauge falls upon
“

”
.
12
Tighten four fixing screws of the R-head to check that the needle on the dial gauge is within
±
0.02mm. If the needle is beyond this range, carry out the adjustment stated in step
11
again.
13
After the distance between the head centers has been adjusted, it is necessary to input the
MS parameters again. For details about input items, see section 2-9.
Note
Shims are put between the head and head plate (at the upper and lower positions).
These shims are used to adjust the distances to the MNLA and FMLA heads in the Y-direction.
Even if you remount the head, which has been detached, or mount another new head, use the
shims attached to the head or those of the same thickness.
Stick the shim on the head plate with a very small quantity of grease, and then mount the head.
