4-27
④
Alpha
Used to vary the electron beam convergent angle.
⑤
Bright/Dark
Used to select the bright field image (Bright) or dark field image (dark).
⑥
Function
Used to select the image forming system. The magnification, camera length or
spectrum in the selected mode can be varied with the MAG/CAM L knob (R1-
⑤
).
The magnification, camera length and spectrum designated by the MAG/CAM L
knob are stored.
The stored magnification, camera length and spectrum are reproduced when the
mode is changed to the original mode from another mode (this is available when a
mode other than MAG2 is used).
MAG1:
This is the conventional magnification mode.
MAG2:
This is a specified magnification mode. The magnification in
this mode is not stored.
LMAG:
This is a low magnification mode.
SMAG:
This is a selected area magnification mode (MAG-B-mode in
this instrument).
DIFF:
This is a selected area diffraction mode.

).
·
Stigmator
CL:
The condenser lens stigmator coil is designated to DEF/STIG
knob (L1-
⑩, R1-④
).
OL:
The objective lens stigmator coil is designated to DEF/STIG
knob (L1-
⑩, R1-④
).
IL:
The intermediate lens stigmator coil is designated to
DEF/STIG knob (L1-
⑩, R1-④
).
⑨
OBJ Focus Steep
Varies the amount of the objective lens focus change.
⑩
OL Stig
Used to select the number of the memory in which the astigmatism correction data
is to be saved or has been saved. Five memories are provided in this instrument for
saving astigmatism correction data.
