MAINTENANCE
2 - DISASSEMBLING THE C.V. PTO SHAFT FOR LUBRICATING
- Hold the shaft as shown in the figure
C
, push the guard cone (1) down, and si-
multaneously press the three locks (2) by a point or a screwdriver. Thus the guard
cone (1) will slip
on the guard cap (3), and can be removed.
- Remove the locking collar (4) and disconnect the guard cap (3) from the tube.
- Repeat the operations shown in the figures
C
and
D
on the C.V. joint end and
disconnect its components.
- Clean all parts with a brush, using kerosene or diesel oil and water, and dry them next.
ATTENTION: Only lubricate the PTO shaft with the C.V. joint aligned to the
male and female tubes; otherwise the lubrication will not be appropriate and
will cause damage to the PTO shaft.
INSTRUCTIONS
1 - LUBRICATING
- Lubricate the points indicated in the figure (A) every eight working hours.
NOTE 1: The points (7) and (8) are opposite to the points (1) and (3), so turn the guard cap as
shown in the figure
A
until reaching the grease pin.
It is important to reminde of lubricating
the male and female tubes.
NOTE 2: Every 30-50 working hours, dismantle the guard caps, clean and wash the parts,
lubricate and assemble the shaft.
The WIDE-ANGLE C.V. PTO SHAFT is a component whose advantage over the
conventional shafts is in allowing turns at angles of up to 75 degrees, with no
