CONTROLS AND INSTRUMENTS
If this indicator light comes on while the
engine is running, this alerts you to a
problem with the engine electronic control
system, the diesel particulate defuser
(DPD), or urea selective catalytic reduction
(SCR) system. In addition, if this light
does not turn on when the power mode
is switched to "ON" (models with passive
entry and start system) or the starter switch
is turned to the "ON" position (models
without passive entry and start system), an
abnormality, etc., in the engine electronic
control system is possible. Please contact
the nearest Isuzu Dealer.
ADVICE
• If the malfunction indicator light comes on while the engine is running, avoid
driving at high speeds and promptly have the vehicle inspected at the nearest
Isuzu Dealer.
• If the malfunction indicator light comes on either intermittently or continuously
while driving, service is required. Even if the vehicle is drivable, and does not
require towing, see your Isuzu Dealer as soon as possible for service of the
system. Continued driving without having the system serviced could cause
damage to the emission control system. It could also affect fuel economy and
drivability.
CAUTION
• If the malfunction indicator light comes on and the engine stops, it is possible
that the engine has entered protection mode. Switch the power mode to "OFF"
(models with passive entry and start system) or turn the starter switch to the
"LOCK" position (models without passive entry and start system) and wait at
least 15 seconds before proceeding to start the engine again.
Even if the vehicle is drivable, see the nearest Isuzu Dealer as soon as possible
for service of the system.
