If the used model does not have a HighSpeed Stacker Arm or or if the use of the stacker arm has been
deactivated in the current scan-profile ( see chapter 4.6.4.2.2. ), we speak of a Open Output Mode. In
this case, scanned documents are transported through the scanner and ejected into the output bin
at the rated speed of the respective scanner model. The Stack Height Sensor ( see chapter 5.7. ) will
detect the height of the output pile and control the
descent of the output hopper, in accordance. For this to
work, a Document Stop needs to be present, in the out-
put bin. For units equipped with HighSpeed Stacker
Arms, the bar with the numerical scale needs to be re-
moved from the middle section, first. This bar is kept in
place with two magnets and can therefore be easily lifted
out. Replacing the bar is facilitated by two spigots, on
the bottom of the bar. These are simply aligned with
matching holes in the middle section.
5.7.4. Use of One Output Hopper
If the H12 unit is operated with one Output Hopper,
all scanned documents are generally ejected into the
corresponding Output Tray which are not sorted out
by project-dependent settings into the Rear Output
Tray. If the HighSpeed Output Mode is used (see chapter
5.7.3. ), the Stacker Arm must be folded up to empty the
Output Tray. The output tray is automatically lowered
by the configured measure ( see chapter 4.7.5.3. ) and the
paper stack can be easily removed. If the Stacker Arm is
again folded down, the Output Tray initializes back to
its uppermost position.
When using the Paper Stop (
under development ) the
paper stack can be removed simply forward. The tray
plate initializes back to its uppermost position just at
the start of the next scan process.
If one Output Hopper in conjunction with the Dual Input Hopper (see chapter 5.4.4. ) is used, its ad-
vantage of continuous processing can most likely not be accessed. An emptying of the Output Tray
during the Input Tray changes is theoretically possible, but practically it requires a lot of practice.

For devices with HighSpeed Stacker Arm, make sure that before the Scanstart with HighSpeed
Output of the Stacker Arm was folded downwards and for Open Output Mode it was folded
upwards. Otherwise, a corresponding warning appears on the display of the scanner (see
chapter 9.1.4. ).
