6.1.2 Minimum Distances to the Equipment
When setting up the equipment, the following minimum distances
must be observed to ensure adequate ventilation and access to the
most important connections:
Minimum distances to the basic unit
You must leave a ventilation gap of at least 80 mm between the
equipment and rear wall to ensure heat produced by the equipment
can escape. No minimum distances are required on the sides.
However, when using cooling we recommend keeping a distance
of approx. 80 mm to the sides to let exhaust heat escape. Other-
wise cooling power can be limited due to trapped heat.
Placing the equipment on a bench
When placing the equipment on a bench, observe the following:

To prevent the bench from vibrating, use a heavy bench with
diagonal braces as the minimum (ideally, use a stable labor-
atory bench). Alternatively, the bench can be affixed to the
wall.

The minimum required depth for the bench is 723 mm.

You must leave a ventilation gap of at least 100 mm between
the equipment and rear wall of the bench.

If shelves or cupboards are installed above the bench, you
must leave a minimum distance of 100 mm.

No gas outlets, shelves or cupboards must be in the way.
