For specific in- and outputs, additional diagnostic functions can be activated. So the corresponding
input and output signal can be monitored and the application program can react in case of a fault.
Depending on the input and output, certain marginal conditions must be taken into account when
using the diagnosis:

It must be checked by means of the data sheet if the device used has the described input and
output groups.

Constants are predefined (e.g. IN_DIGITAL_H) in the device libraries (ifm_CRnnnn_Vx.LIB) for
the configuration of the inputs and outputs.

The diagnostic function is not active.
