Adjust limitation setting
Remote stations can adjust the sound quality or audio
codec. Higher audio qualities will increase the amount
of data, which may overload the Base station’s PC,
and may influence other application on the PC.
The Server can limit the maximum level of the sound
quality or audio codec.
Remote stations cannot program higher values than
the values programmed at the Server.

In the Base station’s Remote Utility, open the Radio
List screen.
How to open:
Select the ‘Server Setting’ mode,
then click the [Radio List] tab.

Select a radio.

Click [Properties] to display the Radio Registration
screen.

Confirm that a check mark is in the
AF - Use
and
MOD-Use
box.

In the
Sample Rates
bar, limit the receive or trans-
mit audio sampling rate that Remote stations can
adjust.
Higher sampling rates will improve the audio qual-
ity. However, they also increase the amount of data,
which can cause voice delay or jumpiness, depend-
ing on the network condition.
Lower sampling rates will decrease the audio qual-
ity. However, they also decrease the amount of data.

In the
Codecs
bar, limit the received or transmit
audio codec that Remote stations can adjust.

In the
Channels
bar, select whether or not to allow
Remote stations to select stereo sound.
When you select “1 ch” (monaural), Remote sta-
tions cannot program “2 ch” (stereo).

Click [OK] to save the settings and close the screen.
