6. The restore is now complete.

Adding a boot option

You are most likely to need to add a boot option in the following situations

A default option has been deleted and needs re-adding.

You have moved disks to another machine and have to update EFI with the
required boot options.

The system planar has been changed.

You have developed a custom option that needs adding.

Below are the steps to add an option for the most common of these situations
where the disks have been moved to another machine.

1. Run a backup as described in “Backing up and restoring EFI boot options” on

page 123.
