Installation 

The Hydro-View unit must be mounted in a control panel or suitable alternative for normal 
operation with only the front panel exposed to the operator. 

For optimum display contrast, the unit should be mounted approximately at eye level. The 
control panel should be cut-out to receive the unit as shown in Figure 18.

The retaining bar and retaining screw are used to clamp the Hydro-View unit against the 
front panel. Do not over-tighten the retaining screw - just sufficient torque should be 
applied to hold the unit in place against the control panel. 

Power supply connections 

Mains power is connected to the Hydro-View using a standard IEC mains connector. The 
operating voltage of the unit can be selected by moving an internal link. 

Warning:

 

For safety reasons and to meet the requirements of EMC Directive 

89/336/EEC the earth connection in the IEC plug must be directly connected to the 
protective earth conductor in the external system.
