Check whether the USG9580 is operating properly with AC power supply. To prevent
damage, power on the USG9580 according to the instructions in this section.
Context
CAUTION
Before performing a power-on check, switch all circuit breakers to the OFF position.
Before you power on the USG9580, ensure that:
l
The power cable and PGND cable are properly connected.
l
The power switch in the equipment room is easy to locate so that you can quickly power
off devices in case of any problems.
Procedure
Step 1
Turn on external AC power supplies A and B.
Step 2
Measure the input voltage of the AC power chassis with a multimeter to ensure that the
voltage falls between 90 V AC and 264 V AC.
Step 3
Turn on the circuit breakers of external AC power supplies A and B and check the status of
the indicators on the AC power chassis.
Step 4
Measure the input voltage of the device with a multimeter to ensure that the voltage falls
between -72 V DC and -38 V DC.
Step 5
Measure the input voltage of the device with a multimeter to ensure that the voltage falls
between -72 V DC and -38 V DC.
