7 Cleaning and servicing the heating system – Requirements

Clean the running surfaces of the shafts (2 + 4) and spray them
with heat-resistant grease.

Install the covers (1 or 3 + 5) in the reverse sequence.

Re-starting the heating system.

See the “HDG Control” operating manual, chapter “5 Using the
control unit”, section “5.2 Switching on the heating system”.

The heat exchanger cleaner is now lubricated.

Switch the heating system off.

Allow the fire in the heating system to burn out and cool down.

Turn the main switch off.

Remove the lower rear cladding (3 or 6) from the boiler.

Warning!

Risk of injury from automatically driven components

When the heating system is switched on, the gears and drive chains
that move the various augers rotate. Fingers could be crushed
during cleaning and servicing work.

Switch off the heating system before checking the drive chains.
