Trouble-shooting

The following table lists the most common sources of error and how to eliminate them:

Problem

Cause

Remedy

Turbine fails to ignite

Propane not connected.

Propane tank is empty, or gas
pressure too low (e.g. very low
external temperatures).

Glowplug not glowing brightly
enough.

Glowplug faulty or plug filament
not pulled out sufficiently.

Connect propane.

(Re-) fill propane tank.

Adjust glowplug voltage (glowplug
must glow bright red!).

Check glowplug and replace if
necessary. Glowplug filament must
be pulled out by at least 3 - 4 mm!

Start-up process not
initiated.

Turbine is still too warm, Post-run
cooling process not yet finished
(-> green LED flashes).

Turbine battery not connected, or
battery flat or almost flat.

Glowplug defective (-> red LED
flashes).

3-core lead to turbine not plugged
in.

Wait until post-run cooling is
finished (green LED no longer
flashing).

Connect / charge battery.

Check / replace glowplug.

Check / connect lead.

Jet-tronic does not
respond to transmitter
commands

Radio control system has not been
