Telnet/SSH Menu Procedure
For this procedure, the SC-ADT must be configured as described in Activate the Telnet/SSH Menu .
1. Start a Telnet or SSH session by defining either of the the following connection parameters as
required:
telnet
[SC-ADT IP address] or
ssh
[SC-ADT IP address]
2. Login to the SC-ADT with a valid username and password. If necessary, override any other
Telnet CLI session in progress as instructed by the screen prompt.
3. Enable supervisor privileges by typing:
enable [supervisor-level password]
4. A successful Telnet/SSH connection to the SC-ADT will display the Telnet menu, similar to
the example shown in Figure 3-1 .
• Ports displayed with an asterisk (
*
) indicate another CLI user is accessing the device at
that port.
• Ports not displayed (such as Port8 and Port9 in the example below) are not enabled or
have been configured for Transport mode.

5. At the menu prompt, the following options are allowed:
• select option
0
to access the SC-ADT command line interface.
Connect to a port by typing:
connect term-port p
(1, 2, ...n)
Use
^^^
as the escape sequence to return to the SC-ADT command line prompt.
• select option
X
to disconnect the Telnet/SSH session.
• select the desired port number to access any enabled and available port.
When finished, disconnect the session or exit the Telnet/SSH client.
