Rev.

Gently push unit into the rack and engage the connectors.

Push the GIA lever down towards the bottom of the unit. Avoid excessive force.

If the lever fails to go down, adjust backplate while engaging unit.

Lock the handle into the GIA body and tighten the Phillips screw.

6.4 GRS

To remove:

Remove the connector from the GRS 77.

Loosen four screws holding the unit to the mounting rack (do not loosen mounting rack
bolts).

To install:

Inspect connector(s) for damaged pins.

Fasten unit to mounting rack.

Attach connector to the back of the unit.

Verify locking tabs are engaged on both ends of

the connector.

6.5 GMU

To remove:

Loosen three screws connecting the unit to the aircraft mounting plate.

Disconnect cable.

To install:

Inspect connector for damaged pins.

Connect cable making sure it is properly secured.

Fasten unit to the aircraft mounting rack.

6.6 GDC

74B

To remove:

Loosen two thumb screws securing unit to the mounting rack.

Remove connector and pitot-static plumbing from unit.

Remove all Teflon tape or sealing compound.

Take care not to allow Teflon tape or

sealing compound to fall inside unit.
