Examples of hexadecimal suffix converted to binary characters:
3- Interpret each “ status bit ”
A code in binary system is composed of a series of 0s and 1s only. Each status bit is assigned to a
corresponding byte Position Number:
Each position in the byte is associated with a predetermined condition and each bit indicates the
state of this condition:
0= Logic value “ False ” therefore the condition does not apply
1= Logic value “ True ” therefore the condition does apply
