2.8.2 Connecting the IIDTool
Once the OBDII connector is located, the unit can now be connected.
Connection steps
1- Ensure compliance with safety instructions and tips to avoid battery drainage (
2- Switch on the ignition or start the engine if outside respecting the safety instructions (

3- Locate the OBDII connector (previous section)
4- Insert the IIDTool into the OBDII connector
5- Wait for about 30 seconds while the tool is scanning electronic communication buses. *

The message “ IIDTool Ready ” will appear on the vehicle instrument pack display to indicate
that communication has been successfully established.
-If it turns out that communication with one of the buses is not possible, an error message
will appear on the selected interface** and the current process will be interrupted. See the

6- Launch the IIDTool Interface of choice and navigate as described in the next segment.

an update of the firmware of IIDTool.
