2.8.6 Disconnecting the IIDTool

The IIDTool was not designed to remain permanently connected to the OBDII port of the vehicle. Dis-

connect the IIDTool after each use.

The IIDTool can be disconnected at any time except:

Warning !

Do not disconnect IIDTool during an ECU flash, or when writing the Car Configuration File

(CCF) as a breakdown or serious consequences could arise (descriptions of these functions and reco-

section 4.10

and

section 4.11

The “Exit menu” message is displayed in the interface to confirm the end of a session and indicates

the possibility of disconnection.

The tool will automatically terminate any task and exit if the vehicle is in motion except during live

values viewing (
