close the window completely, release the switch, pull up and hold the switch for one second.
Repeat the procedure on each window.
• The date and time will be reset.
• Once completed, it may take a few starting cycles for error messages on the instrument cluster
to disappear.
• You may hear a chime coming from the instrument cluster.
• If the key was turned to the OFF position too quickly after updating the CCF, the engine may
not start. Turn the key to the ON position for more than 15 seconds to allow the immobilization
system to synchronize before starting the engine.
•
The navigation screen will turn off during CCF programming. The radio memory may be erased.
On
2010 and up vehicles
, a low battery message may be displayed. Simply ignore it. The radio
memory and trip computer will be erased.
•
On
L359 up to 2012
, the engine will only start after the electronics have shut down. To do so,
lock the doors and wait a few minutes.
•
The viscous fan will stay engaged if the vehicle electronics are not allowed to shut down after
a CCF write was performed.
•
The intelligent start and stop system (eco) will be disabled. It will reactivate automatically after
a few kilometers or engine starts.

When connected for the first time, the IIDTool made a backup of the configuration file (CCF)

and a backup of configurations stored inside the BPM (Body Processor) and LCM (light
control).

If the initial backup of one ECU failed, it will not be present in the list.
This will not affect the other ECUs whose configurations were successfully saved.

Recovery procedure
If updating the CCF failed and using of the integrated interface is required (mobile device or PC inter-
face not used), the IIDTool will be temporarily unable to write on the instrument cluster screen. The
engine will not start, error messages will be displayed on the instrument cluster and a dot will be pres-
ent on the odometer display.
The following steps will allow restoring the Car Configuration File when using the integrated interface.
• Disconnect your IIDTool and turn the ignition OFF.
• Turn the ignition ON and connect your IIDTool.
• Wait until all error messages on the instrument pack have cleared. The Voltage is now dis

played.
• You can now enter the IIDTool menu.

• Once the small dot has disappeared on the odometer screen, turn key to the OFF position.
