CHAPTER 2 PRIMEPOWER650 Rack-mount Type (8U) Server
The dual power supply requires the following cable connections:
a) Number of power cables
The following power cables are supplied with the system unit including dual power
feed:
l
Fujitsu Siemens Computers supplies (not in Japan) two 25A power distribution
boxes (each with 10 IEC320 outlets, power cables with 32A CEE plug,
CEE17/IEC309) and four power cables with IEC320 (10 A) plugs.
b) Power cable connection
Outside Japan, the power cables must be connected to the power distribution box as
shown in Figure 2.12 .

If the main unit employs software for automatic power control and the mode
switch is set to UNLOCK or LOCK, plugging a power cable into an outlet may
automatically turn on the power. To prevent such an occurrence, set the mode
switch to MAINTENANCE before plugging the power cable into the outlet.
Note: To improve the reliability of the dual power feed configuration, connect each
power cable to a separate output group (two outlets per cicuit breaker).
