7.2 Checking Errors from the ok Prompt
If the POST diagnostics conducted at power-on have been completed and the ok
prompt is displayed, the hardware configuration and POST diagnostic results can be
checked by entering the show-post-results command (see Table 7.1 ) from the console.
The console screen takes a short time to come on after the power is turned on. If the
screen is not displayed on the console after a reasonable length of time, check the
LCD panel messages, the status of the CHECK LED and POWER LED, and the
console cable connections.
• Displaying the results of POST diagnosis
Enter the show-post-results command, shown in Table 7.1 , to display the results of the
POST diagnostics.
The same information that is acquired with the show-post-results command can be
displayed by entering the prtdiag(1M) command while the operating system is
running.
7.3 Error Messages Displayed on the Operator Panel
This section explains the error messages displayed on the operator panel if an error is
detected in the main unit.
If an error occurs in the main unit, an asterisk (*) is displayed on the second line of the
status display LCD on the operator panel. For details on operator panel operation and
other messages, see Section 2.2.2, "Operator panel" or Section 3.2.2, "Operator
panel."
Table 7.2 lists the messages that are displayed if errors are detected in the main unit.
