Communication Related Errors

Module Error

When a module error occurs, the [Error] screen on the touch screen displays one of the following codes.

M0:D4 Wi-Fi error

If the problem persists after turning the power back on, please inform your service provider of the
error code below.
Code M0:D4

M1:D5 Wired LAN error

If the problem persists after turning the power back on, please inform your service provider of the
error code below.
Code M1:D5

M2:D6 An error occurred with the smart card reader.

If the problem persists after turning the power back on, please inform your service provider of the
error code below.
Code M2:D6

Turn the scanner off then back on.
If the problem persists, write down the error code and contact the distributor/dealer where you purchased this
product. Refer to the contact information in the Contact List if supplied with this product, or refer to the contact
information in the Contact for Inquiries section if provided in Safety Precautions supplied with this product, and
then make an inquiry.

Network Setting Error

If a network settings error occurs, the [Error] screen on the touch screen displays one of the following codes.

M4:A2 The scanner is not connected to the network. Check the network settings.

M4:A3 Cannot connect to the proxy server. Check the network settings.

M4:A4 Cannot connect to PaperStream NX Manager. Check the network settings.

M4:A5 Cannot connect to PaperStream NX Manager or the proxy server. Check the network settings.

M4:A6 Network connection timed out. Make sure that PaperStream NX Manager is running, and check the

network connection.

M4:A7 Invalid client certificate for the network connection. Check the network connection.

M4:A8 Failed to send data. Check the network status, reload the document, and try again.

M4:A9 Failed to receive data. Make sure that PaperStream NX Manager is running, and check the network

connection.

M4:AA A network connection error occurred. Check the network connection.

M4:AB Failed to send data. Check the network status, reload the document, and try again.
