Paper Feeding Error

Paper Protection

When the function to protect documents (Paper protection) is activated, paper feeding stops, and the [Error]
screen on the touch screen displays one of the following codes.

J0:37 Paper protection (feeding noise)

Remove the document and check it.
Load it carefully so that it does not get skewed and perform the scan again.

J0:51 Paper protection (feeding accuracy)

Remove the document and check it.
Load it carefully so that it does not get skewed and perform the scan again.

The function to protect documents (Paper protection) prevents documents from being damaged during
scanning with the ADF by increasing the level of sensitivity to detect paper jams.
Take the following measures.

If this error occurs, check if the document meets the requirements described in

Documents for Scanning

●

If this error occurs frequently even when the document meets the requirements for scanning, lower the paper
protection sensitivity level.

●

If documents remain in the ADF, remove the documents by referring to

When a paper jam occurs, the [Error] screen on the touch screen displays one of the following codes.

J1:31 Paper jam

Remove the document, load it, then perform the scan again.

J1:50 Pick error

Remove the document, load it, then perform the scan again.
