Earthing

Note

·

Connect

one

of the earth terminals of the SFC−LAC with

low impedance (short cable with large diametert) to the
earth potential.

You  can  thereby  avoid  faults  due  to  electromagnetic
influences  and  ensure  electromagnetic  compatibility  in
accordance  with  EMC  guidelines.

In order to earth the SFC−LAC, use

only one

of the following

terminals (compare Tab.3/3):

earth terminal on the housing of the SFC−LAC,

or

earthing  strip  with  cable  lug  on  the  plug  housing  or  at  the
other  end  of  the  power  supply  cable  (seeassembly
instructions  for  cable  type  KPWR−MC−1−SUB−15HC−...).

Note that

only one

of the earth connections may be

used (to avoid earth loops).

When using the earth terminal on the housing of the SFC−LAC:

·

Use a suitable earthing cable with an M4 cable lug and
the supplied nut with toothed lock washer.

·

Tighten the nut with max. 1.7 Nm.
