Procedure

Start the FCT

1. Connect the SFC−LAC to your PC via the RS232 interface,

see section 3.5.

2. Start the FCT:

double  click  on  the  FCT  icon  on  the  desktop
  or
switch  to  Windows  and  select  the  entry  [Festo  Software]
[Festo  Configuration  Tool]  in  the  menu  [Start].

3. Create a project in the FCT or open an existing project.

Add a device to the project with the SFC−LAC PlugIn.

Instructions on parametrizing and commissioning

FCT framework

Information  on  workiing  with  projects  and  on  adding  compo
nents  to  a  project  can  be  found  in  the  help  for  the  FCT  frame
work  with  the  command  [Help]  [Contents  FCT  general].

PlugIn SFC−LAC

The  PlugIn  SFC−LAC  for  the  FCT  supports  the  processing  of  all
steps  necessary  for  commissioning  an  SFC−LAC.  The  necess
ary  parametrizings  can  be  executed  offline,  i.e.  without  the
SFC−LAC  being  connected  to  the  PC.  This  enables  preparation
for  the  actual  commissioning,  e.g.  in  the  design  office  when  a
new  system  is  planned.
