5.6.4 Record select: Carrying out a record
A record can be started in the status Operation enabled".
This function is usually used for:
freely selectable movement to positions in the record list,
processing a positioning profile by linking records,
known target positions which seldom change
(formulation change).
Sequence
1. Set the desired record number in the output data of the
master. Up till the start the controller replies with the
number of the record last processed.
2. With a rising edge at START (CPOS.B1) the controller
accepts the record number and starts the positioning
task.
3. The controller signalizes with the rising edge at Acknowl
edge Start that the PLC output data have been accepted
and that the positioning task is now active. The position
ing command will be processed irrespective of whether
Start (CPOS.B1) has been reset to zero or not.
4. When the record is concluded, MC (SPOS.B2) is set.
Causes of faults
Referencing has not been carried out.
Required speed cannot be reached.
Invalid record number.
