C.4.1

Procedure for data transmission

Caution

In  special  application  cases,  access  with  CI  commands
enables  parametrizing  and  commissioning  of  the  SFC−LAC
directly  via  the  parametrizing  interface.  It  is,  however,  not
suitable  for  real−time  capable  communication,  e.g.  for
control.  Control  of  the  SFC−LAC  via  RS232  also  requires:

an estimation of the risk by the user,

ambient conditions free of interference,

saving of the data transmission e.g. via the control

program of the host.

·

You should use the control panel or the FCT for commis
sioning and parametrization.

·

Note that control of the SFC−LAC via the RS232 does not
comply with designated use.

Warning

Injury to people and damage to property.

Full  access  to  the  internal  variables  of  the  servo  controller
is  possible  via  CI  commands.  Incorrect  operation  can  cause
the  controller  to  react  unexpectedly  and  the  motor  may
start  uncontrolled.

Only use the CI commands if you already have
experience of Service Data Objects.

·

Familiarize  yourself  with  the  CiA  Draft  Standard  402
regarding  use  of  the  objects  before  you  execute  CI
commands  on  the  Command  Interpreter  of  the  SFC−LAC.
