Power Supply Units (PSUs)

Ensure that the following requirements are met with Extreme Networks 700/1200 W AC PSU(s):

Disconnect all power before removing the back panel of any Extreme Networks switch.

The unit must be grounded. Do not connect the power supply unit to an AC outlet without a ground
connection.

The unit must be connected to a grounded outlet to comply with European safety standards.

WARNING!

Ensure that the source outlet is properly grounded before plugging the AC power cord into Extreme Networks 700/
1200 W AC PSU.

WARNING!

Ensure that the source outlet is properly grounded before plugging the AC power cord into Extreme Networks
700/1200 W AC PSU.

WARNING!

Each 700/1200 W AC PSU requires a dedicated circuit breaker of 15A minimum, 20A maximum.

NOTE

When using more than one 700/1200 W AC PSU, make sure that each 700/1200 W AC PSU attaches to an
independent power source.

CAUTION

Install equipment into the lower half of the rack first to avoid making the rack top-heavy.
