Testing disconnect alarm

Test set-up:

Oxylog 1000 with test set-up: Testing the disconnect alarm

• Set the minute volume adjuster (MV) to 10 L/min.

• Set the frequency selector (Freq.) to 10 1/min.

• Set the Air Mix/No Air Mix selector switch to „Air Mix“.

• Set the ventilation pressure selector (Paw) to full right.

• During the inhalation phase set a ventilation pressure of approx. 

30 mbar (hPa) with the adjustable resistor. (Note: Read off the 
ventilation pressure from the pressure gauge of the Oxylog 1000).

• Slowly open the adjustable resistor during the inhalation phase until the 

„rot“ indicator (Paw low) lights up.

The „Paw low“ switching point is at approx. 10 mbar (hPa). (Read off the 
switching point from the pressure gauge of the Oxylog 1000 and from the 
separate pressure gauge).
