JT5 Operator’s Manual

Complete the Job - 115

Antifreeze Drilling Unit

CMW

Reclaim Antifreeze

Connect remote fluid system. See page 69.

Turn on remote fluid system engine and open valves to allow fluid flow.

Start drilling unit and run at low throttle.

Move carriage to front of drill frame.

Position 1-gal (4-L) bucket under spindle.

Turn drilling fluid pump on low speed.

Turn drilling fluid pump off when drilling fluid comes out of spindle.

Pour antifreeze into tank.

IMPORTANT:

Antifreeze can be removed from antifreeze tank and disposed of properly or it can be

reused until it is too diluted with drilling fluid to protect against freezing.
