Setting up an Encrypted Connection   

To have a successful encrypted connection, you need to follow the sections below to create certificates for OPC UA 
server and OPC UA client. 
 

8.3.1 Creating a Certificate for the DIADesigner-AX OPC UA Server 

8.3.1.1 Matrikon ® FLEX™ OPC UA 

In order to encrypt data and exchange it with the client safely, the server needs a certificate that the client must classify 

as trusted when a connection is established for the first time. You will need 

Matrikon ®    FLEX™ OPC UA Editor for 

creating a certificate for the DIADesigner-AX. Go to CoDeSys Store to download the software: 

https://store.codesys.com/matrikon-flex-opc-ua-editor.html?___SID=U
