Appendix A - Numeric Mode
Every function or setting provided by AMPS-1 corresponds to a preset 1, 2 or 3 digit
number. When AMPS-1 is in NUMERIC mode, entering numbers on the keypad and
pressing ENTER will activate the desired function or setting. An alternative way of
selecting an option in NUMERIC mode is to use the LEFT (
t
) or RIGHT (
u
) arrow
buttons to scroll through the available options. Once found, press ENTER to activate
that particular function or setting. There are 512 selections available, numbered from
zero to 511, as listed in the table in this Appendix.
By default, AMPS-1 powers up in ALPHA mode. To change to NUMERIC mode,
press the SHIFT button. The NUMERIC mode display will then appear, as illustrated
in
Figure 75 .
The table on the following page lists the numeric codes for all AMPS-1 settings,
organized by GROUP. Find the desired setting in the table, type the corresponding 1, 2
or 3 digit code on the keypad and press ENTER to activate that setting.
If you enter the wrong code, press the UP (
p
) or DOWN(
q
) arrow button, and you
will be taken back to the display of Figure 75 . Input a revised 1 to 3 digit number, then
press ENTER.
