Chapter 1 Install the Cisco ONS 15310-MA SDH

Required Tools and Equipment

If you plan to install electrical interface assemblies (EIAs), continue with the

“NTP-H167 Install the

EIAs” procedure on page 1-10

. If not, continue with the

“NTP-H151 Install the Power and Ground”

procedure on page 1-12

Stop. You have completed this procedure.

NTP-H167 Install the EIAs

Caution

Connect only SELV services to the high-density EIAs on the ONS 15310-MA SDH.

Step 1

Determine which high-density EIA is designed for installation on the B Side and which is designed for
installation on the A Side (

Figure 1-4

For both OSP and non-OSP installations on the ONS 15310-MA SDH, following ONS 15310-MA SDH
EIAs must be installed:

15310E-EIA-HDA=, PN 800-29917-01

•

15310E-EIA-HDB=, PN 800-29918-01

Note

For information about OSP installation, refer to the installation manual provided with the OSP
cabinet.

Purpose

This procedure describes how to install electrical interface assemblies
(EIAs).
