Changing the Default Values for SNMP v3 Users
Using the GUI to Change the SNMP v3 User Default Values
Follow these steps to change the SNMP v3 user default values through the controller GUI.
Step 1
Click
Management
and then
SNMP V3
Users
under SNMP. The SNMP V3 Users page appears (see
Figure 4-3
).

Step 2
If “default” appears in the User Name column, click
Remove
to delete this SNMP v3 user.
Step 3
Click
New
to add a new SNMP v3 user. The SNMP V3 Users > New page appears (see
Figure 4-4
).

Step 4
In the User Profile Name field, enter a unique name. Do not enter “default.”
Step 5
Choose
Read
Only
or
Read Write
from the Access Mode drop-down box to specify the access level for
this user.
Step 6
In the next two fields, choose the authentication and privacy protocols to be used, and enter a password
for each.
Step 7
Click
Apply
to commit your changes.
Step 8
Click
Save
Configuration
to save your settings.
